A couple of days ago I was sitting in the lobby of a hotel in KSA waiting for my transport to arrive. While I was sitting there, an elderly Saudi gentlemen (who wasn’t a guest) entered the premises and asked the lady at the check-in desk if he could use the gents. Without any hesitation she pointed him in the right direction.

On his way out, the way he thanked her was by making duaa for her parents.

What I witnessed made me smile. Small acts of kindness go a long way. Wholesome interactions such as this are common in the region. However, you can witness the opposite elsewhere, where its common to be informed that the use of any facilities in an establishment are only for paying customers.

Sometimes we underestimate the spiritual rewards of small acts of goodness. We never know whose duaas are going to be accepted and act as a source of kheir for us and our loved ones.
